Faith Massey speaking

Faith Massey is a policy researcher and community organizer dedicated to dismantling systemic inequities that disproportionately affect Black communities. She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, emphasizing quantitative research methods, from American University, where she received the President’s Award at commencement.

Faith is the recipient of two prestigious honors: the Obama–Chesky Voyager Scholarship (a $25,000 scholarship plus a $10,000 public service grant) and the Faith & Politics John Lewis Scholars program, a bipartisan initiative that educates participants on nonviolent civil rights history and activism in honor of Congressman John Lewis.

She participated in Georgetown University’s Political Science Predoctoral Summer Institute (PS‑PSI), a selective predoctoral program providing mentorship, substantive and methods training, and application support for prospective Ph.D. students.

Her research uses applied statistics and data science to analyze the real-world impacts of policy. She pursued advanced study in policy analysis at the Harvard Kennedy School and in data science and applied statistics at Georgetown University, and conducted health policy research at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

A former Congressional Black Caucus Foundation intern, Faith has served in the offices of Representative Terri Sewell (AL-07) and Senator Amy Klobuchar (MN-D), focusing on health and education policy. She aspires to pursue a Ph.D. in social policy and is seeking full-time roles in research and policy analysis.
